Which adapter do I need?
Verified adapter
MAVI has been verified with exactly one adapter, on a 2023 Ford Maverick Hybrid. It is sold on Amazon under this listing title:
"OBD2 Scanner Diagnostic Tool, Car Scanner for iOS & Android, Bluetooth 5.4 Code Reader for Cars and Trucks, Scanner for Check Engine Codes, Live Data, Error Clearing and Performance Test Exclusive APP"
How to confirm you have the right one: in MAVI's scan it appears with the Bluetooth name V011.
Other adapters
Other Bluetooth LE adapters are untested. Some will not appear in MAVI's scan at all, and some may connect but show less data. If you already own a different adapter, the 14-day free trial is the way to find out before you pay.
Classic Bluetooth adapters (the kind you pair in iPhone Settings) and Wi-Fi adapters do not work with MAVI.
Connecting
- Plug the adapter into the OBD-II port under the dash, driver's side.
- Turn the ignition on.
- In MAVI, tap Scan. Do not pair the adapter in iPhone Settings.
